Solar Water Pump

Water pumping systems are necessary in distant homes or works where city network is not used. Solar water pumping systems are a serious solution in this regard. The product can be used easily in irrigation, water storage and drinking water supply. The pump design is suitable for operation from solar panels and can be produced with sufficient energy.

How does the pump work?

In order to draw water from a source, firstly, it should be looked at whether there is enough sun in the place. Solar panels are connected at the angle and direction at which the sun can be absorbed at maximum. If the sunshine duration is low in the area, the batteries can be charged and supported, or if the wind is sufficient, a hybrid operation can be made by providing support from the wind power.

Advantages of Solar Water Pumps

Fuel cost: After purchasing and installing a PV system, there is no additional cost for fuel.

Reliable power: PV power systems require little maintenance, no carbon emissions and quiet operation. The modules are guaranteed for 20-25 years. Many critical applications (such as military installations) are used reliably.

Flexibility: Many PV pumping systems are easily transportable and can easily be upgraded. If a pump is large enough to accept additional power, PV modules can be added later to increase water output during seasonal work.

Fast installation and portability: Many systems can be installed in less time than one day. To serve livestock from one water source to another, or to farmers, some farmers have systems built on trailers to transport water to wherever there is a need.

Off-stream usage: Access to waterfalls for PV systems, backfloods of these areas, coastal areas and other water resources. Docking can also reduce the number of laps to maintain quality at the same time.

There are three main types of solar water pumps:

  • Circulation Pumps
  • Submersible Pumps
  • Surface Pumps

Circulation Pumps

The main feature of this pump is that it rotates the liquid in the closed loop. Because the fluid always flows back to the pump. The pump does not need to work too much, it only consumes energy to push up the water. It should only be strong enough for water force and pump resistance. In most small applications, the pumps are small enough to be mounted inside the pipes.

Pump Structure:

Most household pumps are compact centrifugal pumps. The water is driven by the electric motor driving the impeller. The propellers are like a wheel with angled blades, there is a structure that works like energy-producing turbines. The impeller rotates quickly and the water in it pushes it out. The engine is waterproof and wrapped around the propeller. It can be mounted separately from propeller in industrial applications.

Hot water recovery:

In most home applications, when the faucet is opened and closed without pulling it, there is hot water in the pipes and the water is cooled in the pipe because the faucet is closed. To prevent this, circulating pumps are used, so that the water is returned to the tank and water is saved. In most home applications, when the faucet is opened and closed without pulling it, there is hot water in the pipes and the water is cooled in the pipe because the faucet is closed. Solar water heating:

ne of the most popular applications. In most systems, the circulating pump sends water to the solar collector. Solar energy heating is provided in the collector. The water is then sent to the hot water tank. The water is sent back to the solar collector and heated.

Submersible Pump

Submersible Pump Foundations:The submersible pump (or electric submersible pump (ESP) has a fully enclosed water and airtight enclosure type, which is immersed in the liquid with its whole body and pumps the liquid. It is more efficient than jet pumps.

Working Principles:The pump should be mounted at the bottom to increase the water. The pump raises the water pressure to more than 1 atmosphere, thus increasing the pressure imbalance and sending water to the surface. The pumps operating in different stages can be connected in series, starting from the first phase by starting the traction for the other phases. Surface pumps are ideal for water below a few meters, but submersible pumps are a better solution.

Surface Pumps

Where the water supply is near the surface, the most economical DC water pumps (non-submersible) are surface pumps. Compared to conventional AC pumps, energy consumption for pumping can reduce half or more of the available energy consumption.

Are batteries necessary?

Most systems are powered by a battery and the water pump is operated only when there is sun. It may be better to increase the coverage of the storage tank. Storing water instead of storing electricity on the battery increases system reliability and eliminates system complexity. Minimum 5-day water storage planning is the best solution.
